My Pet Cat

I have a pet cat. Her name is Mimi. We got her from an animal shelter two years ago. She was a small kitten then. Now she is three years old and much bigger! Mimi has orange and white fur. Her fur is very soft like a fluffy cloud. I love to touch her fur.

Mimi has beautiful green eyes. They glow in the dark! She has a pink nose and long whiskers. Her tail is fluffy and orange. She is a very pretty cat. Everyone who visits our house loves her.

Every morning, Mimi wakes up early, even before my alarm. She comes to my room and says "meow!" very loudly. Sometimes she jumps on my bed and walks on me! She wants her breakfast. I feed her every day at 7 o'clock. She eats cat food from her special bowl. The bowl has her name on it. She drinks fresh water from another bowl. I make sure her water is always clean.

After breakfast, Mimi likes to sit by the window. She watches birds outside. Her tail moves when she sees them. I think she wants to catch the birds! But she is an indoor cat, so she can only watch.

Mimi likes to play with her toys very much. She has a small ball with a bell inside. When she hits the ball, it makes a sound. She also has a toy mouse that looks real! She runs and jumps a lot when she plays. Sometimes she runs very fast around the house. We call this her "crazy time"!

After playing, Mimi takes a nap. Cats sleep a lot, sometimes 16 hours a day! She likes to fall asleep on the sofa in the living room. The sofa is warm and comfortable. Sometimes she sleeps in a sunny spot on the floor. She curls up into a ball when she sleeps. It looks very cute!

Sometimes I cuddle her when she sleeps. She purrs when she is happy. Purring sounds like a small motor. It means she feels safe and loved. I love the sound of her purring.

I take care of Mimi every day. I feed her, give her water, and clean her litter box. I also brush her fur to keep it clean and shiny. Once a month, my mom takes her to the vet for a checkup. The vet says Mimi is very healthy!

I love my cat very much. She makes me happy when I am sad. She greets me when I come home from school. She is my best friend at home! Having a pet is a big responsibility, but it is also very rewarding.

나는 반려 고양이가 있다. 이름은 미미다. 2년 전에 동물 보호소에서 미미를 데려왔다. 그때는 작은 아기 고양이였다. 지금은 세 살이고 훨씬 커졌다! 미미는 주황색과 흰색 털을 가지고 있다. 털이 아주 부드러워서 푹신한 구름 같다. 미미 털을 만지는 것을 좋아한다.

미미는 아름다운 초록색 눈을 가지고 있다. 어둠 속에서 빛난다! 분홍색 코와 긴 수염이 있다. 꼬리는 복슬복슬하고 주황색이다. 정말 예쁜 고양이다. 우리 집에 오는 사람들 모두 미미를 좋아한다.

매일 아침, 미미는 알람보다 먼저 일찍 일어난다. 내 방에 와서 "야옹!" 하고 크게 운다. 가끔 내 침대에 뛰어올라 내 위를 걸어 다닌다! 아침밥을 원하는 것이다. 나는 매일 7시에 미미에게 먹이를 준다. 특별한 그릇에서 고양이 사료를 먹는다. 그릇에 미미 이름이 적혀 있다. 다른 그릇에서 신선한 물을 마신다. 나는 미미 물이 항상 깨끗하도록 한다.

아침 식사 후, 미미는 창가에 앉는 것을 좋아한다. 밖에 있는 새들을 구경한다. 새를 볼 때 꼬리가 움직인다. 새를 잡고 싶은 것 같다! 하지만 미미는 실내 고양이라서 구경만 할 수 있다.

미미는 장난감을 가지고 노는 것을 아주 좋아한다. 안에 방울이 있는 작은 공이 있다. 공을 치면 소리가 난다. 진짜처럼 생긴 장난감 쥐도 있다! 놀 때 많이 뛰어다니고 점프한다. 가끔 집 안을 아주 빠르게 뛴다. 우리는 이것을 "미친 시간"이라고 부른다!

놀고 나면 미미는 낮잠을 잔다. 고양이는 많이 자는데, 가끔 하루에 16시간이나 잔다! 거실 소파에서 잠드는 것을 좋아한다. 소파는 따뜻하고 편안하다. 가끔 바닥의 햇볕 드는 곳에서 잔다. 잘 때 공처럼 동그랗게 몸을 말다. 정말 귀엽게 생겼다!

가끔 미미가 잘 때 나는 미미를 껴안는다. 행복할 때 그르렁거린다. 그르렁 소리는 작은 모터 소리 같다. 안전하고 사랑받는 느낌이라는 뜻이다. 나는 미미의 그르렁 소리를 좋아한다.

나는 매일 미미를 돌본다. 먹이를 주고, 물을 주고, 화장실을 청소한다. 털이 깨끗하고 윤기나게 빗질도 해준다. 한 달에 한 번 엄마가 검진을 위해 수의사에게 데려가신다. 수의사 선생님은 미미가 매우 건강하다고 말씀하셨다!

나는 내 고양이를 정말 사랑한다. 슬플 때 나를 행복하게 해준다. 내가 학교에서 돌아오면 반겨준다. 미미는 집에서 나의 가장 좋은 친구다! 반려동물을 키우는 것은 큰 책임이지만, 보람도 크다.
