My Birthday Party

Last week, I had a party for my birthday. I turned ten years old! Double digits! I was so excited because ten is a special number. My family started preparing for the party one week before.

My mom made a big chocolate cake from scratch. She spent many hours in the kitchen. The cake had three layers and chocolate frosting. It looked beautiful and smelled amazing! It had ten candles on top, one for each year. The candles were colorful - red, blue, and yellow.

We decorated our living room the night before. My dad put up colorful streamers. We had pink and yellow balloons everywhere. Some balloons were shaped like stars. There was also a big banner that said "Happy Birthday!" I helped blow up some balloons. It was hard work, but fun!

On the day of the party, my friends came to my house. Eight friends came! They all wore their best clothes. Everyone brought wrapped presents. I was curious about what was inside, but I had to wait. My friends sang "Happy Birthday" to me. Their voices were loud and cheerful.

Then came the special moment. My dad turned off the lights. My mom brought out the cake with the candles lit. The candles glowed beautifully in the dark room. Everyone sang again. I blew out the candles and made a wish. I can't tell you my wish, or it won't come true! Everyone clapped and cheered.

Then we ate the delicious cake. It was so yummy! The chocolate was rich and sweet. We also had ice cream, cookies, and fruit juice. My mom prepared so much food. Everyone said the food was great.

After eating, we played many games. We played musical chairs and hide-and-seek. The funniest game was the balloon popping race. We also had a treasure hunt in the backyard. I hid small toys and candy, and my friends tried to find them. Everyone was laughing and having fun.

I opened my presents after the party. My best friend gave me a teddy bear with a red bow. It was so soft and cute! Another friend gave me a book about animals. I also got colored pencils, a puzzle, and a cool backpack. My grandparents sent me money to save. I felt so loved and happy.

Before my friends went home, we took many photos together. We made funny faces and peace signs. My mom said she would make a photo album for me. I will keep these memories forever.

It was the best day ever! I felt so grateful for my family and friends. I can't wait for my next birthday, but I know every day with them is special.

지난주에 내 생일을 맞아 파티를 열었다. 나는 열 살이 되었다! 두 자리 수! 10은 특별한 숫자라서 정말 신났다. 우리 가족은 파티 일주일 전부터 준비를 시작했다.

엄마가 직접 큰 초콜릿 케이크를 만들어 주셨다. 부엌에서 여러 시간을 보내셨다. 케이크는 세 층이고 초콜릿 프로스팅이 있었다. 아름다워 보이고 냄새가 끝내줬다! 케이크 위에 초가 열 개 있었다. 매년 하나씩. 초는 빨강, 파랑, 노랑으로 알록달록했다.

전날 밤에 거실을 장식했다. 아빠가 색색의 리본을 달았다. 집 안 곳곳에 분홍색과 노란색 풍선이 있었다. 어떤 풍선은 별 모양이었다. "생일 축하해!"라고 쓰인 큰 현수막도 있었다. 나도 풍선 몇 개를 불었다. 힘들었지만 재미있었다!

파티 당일, 친구들이 우리 집에 왔다. 여덟 명의 친구가 왔다! 모두 예쁜 옷을 입었다. 모두 포장된 선물을 가져왔다. 안에 뭐가 있는지 궁금했지만 기다려야 했다. 친구들이 나에게 "생일 축하" 노래를 불러줬다. 목소리가 크고 밝았다.

그리고 특별한 순간이 왔다. 아빠가 불을 끄셨다. 엄마가 초에 불을 붙인 케이크를 가져오셨다. 어두운 방에서 초가 아름답게 빛났다. 모두가 다시 노래했다. 나는 초를 불어서 끄고 소원을 빌었다. 소원은 말할 수 없다. 안 그러면 이루어지지 않으니까! 모두 박수를 치고 환호했다.

그리고 맛있는 케이크를 먹었다. 정말 맛있었다! 초콜릿이 진하고 달콤했다. 아이스크림, 쿠키, 과일 주스도 먹었다. 엄마가 음식을 정말 많이 준비하셨다. 모두 음식이 맛있다고 했다.

먹고 나서 여러 게임을 했다. 의자 뺏기 게임과 숨바꼭질을 했다. 가장 웃긴 게임은 풍선 터뜨리기 경주였다. 뒷마당에서 보물찾기도 했다. 작은 장난감과 사탕을 숨기고 친구들이 찾았다. 모두 웃고 재미있게 놀았다.

파티가 끝난 후 선물을 열었다. 가장 친한 친구가 빨간 리본을 단 곰 인형을 주었다. 정말 부드럽고 귀여웠다! 다른 친구는 동물에 관한 책을 주었다. 색연필, 퍼즐, 멋진 가방도 받았다. 조부모님은 저축하라고 돈을 보내주셨다. 사랑받고 행복한 기분이 들었다.

친구들이 집에 가기 전에 함께 사진을 많이 찍었다. 웃긴 표정과 브이를 했다. 엄마가 나를 위해 사진첩을 만들어 주신다고 했다. 이 추억들을 영원히 간직할 것이다.

정말 최고의 하루였다! 가족과 친구들에게 감사했다. 다음 생일이 기다려지지만, 그들과 함께하는 매일이 특별하다는 걸 안다.
